Having trouble on Acer getting dwm to select proper sound card resulting in patchy sound issues. After reading Arch Linux pulseaudio on the wiki, I installed pa-applet. It seems to be able to sort things out and works better than the dwmblocks script.

Rejigged dwm/config.h and dwmblocks/blocks.h to ignore the sound volume keys so that pa-applet can grab those key strokes.
