Windows 11 ene.sys Fix

After installing Windows 11 on Bradgamer, I sometimes got warnings of it being unable to load a suspect driver called ene.sys

Advice on Google suggested many things such as rolling back to a previous version of Windows, installing optional Windows updates or changing the name of ene.sys to ene.sys.old

I ascertained that ene.sys is a driver for RGP control used by the RGB Fusion app that controls the pretty lights on the fans and other things on the motherboard.

This is how I fixed it:

  1. Open RGB Fusion
  2. Click on the cog icon to open settings
  3. Turn on update schedule to be when Windows starts
  4. Reboot
  5. Give permission to change the system and all should be good.
  6. Reboot

ene.sys warnings should now be gone.
