The technician came on time but there was a delay while he made inquiries with NBN to see if we could run the cable in from the other pole to avoid it having to go through trees. After 1.5 hours they said no.
The technician sited the internal box near our existing modem / router but that limited options to run the cable from the roof space. Instead it was run under the house to near the front steps, and then over 3 weatherboards and into the wall. It doesn't look too good. I will see what I can find at Bunnings.
I took the opportunity to reset my network to be 192.168.230.0 network space instead of 10.0.0.0 which was the default when I originally went with Belong after leaving Bigpond when HFC internet was shut down.
A speed test revealled that download is now abound 50 Mb/Sec, which is about double what were were on with fibre to the curb.
